Best Kymta Reviews
Stayed in our camper van in the car park grounds. Use of loos when pub open. Plenty of bins and chemical waste disposal too. No obligation to eat at the pub but so glad we did. Lovely home cooked food. Service was great too. It was very busy and the staff never stopped and were so friendly. Lovely outside area with amazing views.
Called on Sunday for a roast dinner and one of the huge Yorkshire puddings that have been mentioned and photographed on here recently.
Disappointingly the only day that they don't serve giant Yorkshire pudding is on Sunday!
Seemed a little disorganised but I think there was a few new members of staff, also they were advertising for staff, so it would not put me off going again.
We had to find ourselves a menu and then you order at the bar.
Roast beef... And the pork were delicious. The veg needed a little butter and seasoning, as did the mash potatoes. The gravy needs more work.
Portion size was good, we didn't leave a scrap. (I would have to disagree with the previous reviewer who said the portions were too big, portions were perfect, for us)
No check back, although the friendly young lady that we paid at the bar upon leaving did ask if all was OK, albeit a bit late at this point.
Very busy place so I would advise booking a table.
Good value for money at £13 for a Sunday roast dinner.
Not my kind of Sunday lunch.... no seasoning on potatoes and veg, meat was flavourless and I'm convinced it wasn't topside as advertised. The gravy was so tasteless it probably wasn't even bisto and even that is bad. Yorkshire Pudding was burnt.
There wasn't any love that went into my dish.I feel that compared to what I do at home and other places I've had Sunday lunch I rate this less than Toby Carvery and that I truly hate.
Most of the waitresses apart from one with curly hair and glasses who was nice and had good customer service skills, the rest wasn't very attentive, non smiling and basically grumpy looking which isn't a good look in hospitality.
This review is a shame as it was highly recommended to me and the place is a nice place ..Nice scenery etc. I will only go for a drink ????
Went for lunch ordered roast dinner came was nice ordered fillet steak medium well not burnt, 1st one came burnt we questioned if it was even a fillet. 2nd one came burnt also spoke to the chef who brought the fillet steak out and you could quite obviously see it wasn't a fillet steak on the plate. Seems the staff can't handle criticism, would not recommend eating steak here at all.
Called in for Sunday tea. Modern and clean, but with a traditional feel, this is a lovely pub. It has a campsite out back with lovely views. The food is home made and delicious. At the time of writing, they had a Sunday menu that is £4.95 per starter or dessert and £10.95 for mains. The service was friendly and fast. Outside there is a nice area to sit under shelter or there is ample seating inside. We'll be back.
Always a lovely warm feeling ..friendly place with friendly smiles for all...staff warm & very friendly..beautiful food..amazing scenery..we always love eating ,drinking & socialising here was another treat for my mum as her birthday ????????????????????????????????????
Typical pub food. Filled you up but not the best. Pie was tasty but the roast potatoes were not homemade seemed more like frozen ones and were not very nice at all. The chips were also very poor. Limited menu on a Sunday its just a Sunday menu so roast dinners and pies and one chicken breast meal and thats was about it for mains apart from one vegetarian dish. The pate was an average homemade pate but the jam roly poly and custard was awful.
I haven't been here for a good few years but was very pleased we came for a meal today. The pub is very well decorated and super clean, the staff who served us were all amazing and very polite, compliments to the chef and kitchen staff the food is absolutely incredible! Plenty of parking and lots out outdoor seating and beautiful views. Thank you so much we'll be back soon :-)

3. Home-cooked food: The quality of the food was highly praised, with comments describing it as delicious and incredible. The pub offers a variety of dishes, including traditional Sunday roasts, pies, and vegetarian options. The use of fresh ingredients and the homemade nature of the food are likely factors contributing to its taste.

5. Cleanliness: The pub was described as clean and well-decorated. This attention to cleanliness and aesthetics contributes to a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
Now, let's discuss the weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent quality: One comment mentioned that the seasoning on the potatoes and vegetables was lacking, and the meat was described as flavorless and possibly not as advertised. The gravy was also criticized for being tasteless. These inconsistencies in taste and quality may indicate a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen.

However, some weaknesses such as inconsistent quality, limited menu options on Sundays, disorganized service, and lack of attentive waitstaff may impact the overall dining experience.
