Best Kymta Reviews

Good old 70s style shopping centre, with various shops, can't believe flats are above ships, run down in places, empty shops, but enough around the area to keep you busy, there's a whetherspoons, Waitrose etc etc and local coffee shops etc
Really friendly place to shop and the best part is in some Saturdays, there are markets with delicious foods.
Liked the general shopping area. I'm visiting friends but know the area quite well as have visited before and always like popping down there. The new-ish independent café, the Ivy, in the high street is really nice and they do amazing homemade cake and lovely paninis. Could do with a cheaper supermarket as Waitrose and Tesco's are expensive.
Good Waitrose store but more charity shops than anything else
With Tesco Waitrose here and its rumoured that one of the German supermarkets may be coming this place gets bettef and better. Its still not quite as swish as it could be but therevis a lot going for it. So ignore the bland 1960ish style. Its got most of the retail things you actually want and the style may be about to get a makeover.
A good range of shops and supermarkets. Time restricted parking. Public toilets, they need a bit of attention, they're situated near the doctors surgery. Sitting areas in the square. Nice to see a library. I like the look of this shop. It's Chic blooms, they're a florist, but with silk flowers love it
Fantabbytastic I love the hustling and bustling of the crown glass shopping centre woohoo!! Epic sauce.
Brutalist concrete architecture is everywhere.
You won't see a library run by such wonderful staff like it anywhere in the country. It's privately owned but stuck in the 1960s hard concrete architecture. It could do with softening up and cheering up.
However if you want Waitrose, a fantastic hardware store, independent opticians , ethical shopping, furniture store , a bank that's still open , a Post Office and grocers to name but some this is the place.

Quick Facts About Crown Glass Shopping Centre

Crown Glass Shopping Centre is a shopping centre located in a 70s style building. It has a variety of shops, including both well-known chains and independent businesses. The presence of flats above the shops has been mentioned as a unique feature, although some comments suggest that the building is run-down and in need of renovation. While there are some empty shops in the centre, there are plenty of other attractions in the surrounding area to keep visitors busy.
One positive aspect of the shopping centre is the friendly atmosphere. Shoppers have noted that it is a pleasant place to shop, and there are even markets on some Saturdays that offer delicious food. This creates a vibrant and lively environment for visitors. Additionally, the general shopping area is well-liked by individuals who have visited before, and there are specific shops such as The Ivy café that receive praise for their food offerings.
However, one common complaint is the lack of affordable supermarket options. While there is a Waitrose store, some shoppers feel that a cheaper supermarket would be beneficial. Additionally, there seems to be a larger number of charity shops compared to other types of stores, which may not appeal to everyone.
On the other hand, there are positive comments about the variety of shops and supermarkets available. With the presence of Waitrose and Tesco, and the rumored addition of a German supermarket, shoppers feel that Crown Glass Shopping Centre is improving in terms of retail options and convenience. The addition of more desired stores suggests that the shopping centre is responding to consumer needs.
Parking is another factor that has been mentioned. Some individuals have mentioned that parking is time-restricted, which may be inconvenient for those who need more time to shop or explore the area. Public toilets are available but have been described as needing attention. They are located near the doctors' surgery, which may be convenient for those in need of facilities. Sitting areas in the square offer a place for relaxation. A library is also present, which is appreciated by visitors. However, the architectural style of the shopping centre has been described as "brutalist concrete," which some customers feel could be updated to create a more appealing and modern atmosphere.
Lastly, there are mixed reviews about the overall ambiance of the shopping centre. Some shoppers describe it as hustling and bustling, which adds to the charm of the place. However, others mention that the building's 1960s architectural style is visually unappealing and needs to be softened and cheered up.
In conclusion, Crown Glass Shopping Centre has its strengths and weaknesses. It offers a variety of shops and supermarkets, creating a convenient destination for retail needs. The friendly atmosphere and occasional markets also contribute to its appeal. However, the run-down appearance of the building and the lack of affordable supermarket options are notable drawbacks. The parking restrictions and the condition of the public toilets are also areas that could be improved. Overall, while Crown Glass Shopping Centre has its drawbacks, it seems to be responding to consumer demands and has the potential to improve further in the future.
