Great service and food. Server was quick with refills and gave us a nice birthday treat! Also, the prices are really reasonable for an Italian place in the bay area. Overall it's a nice experience every time we visit!
Excellent service and food. They were able to customize a vegan menu. Not too many Vegan and vegetarian options, but the ones we ordered were excellent. Reserved online, and we got our table on time. Would recommend ordering the desert sampler to try many of the items they have on the menu. Portion sizes are huge! Wonderful evening with family.
Italian meatballs were delicious and the sauce was great. It wasn’t too tart or had a sharp tomato taste. Does zucchini fit tea or bread it just right and drizzled with ranch dressing made it even more appealing. We had two rounds of the citrus mule drinks and we love the six dollar takeout pasta meals. It is well worth the value, and we will definitely be back and tell our family and friends about this place.
Very nice restaurant. Great atmosphere. Great service. Wonderful warm bread with oil and balsamic or you can ask for butter.
If you order an entree, you can order a small take home pasta for like 5 bucks. No you can’t eat it there; it’s cold.
Rigatoni D is the best pasta. Had it again this time. Also had the bone-in ribeye which was super yum. Comes with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The chicken parmigiana was above average but not stellar. The tomato sauce was kind of thick and a little bland.
Amazing food and surprisingly even for vegetarians. I tried garlic bread and mushroom ravioli - pretty great on all front - presentation, taste, and portion size. The staff is friendly and cordial, and the ambience is nice.
In drinks, we really liked pomegranate martini ❤️❤️

2. Good Service: Several comments mention the excellent service provided by the staff. This includes quick refills, attentiveness, and accommodating special requests. Friendly and cordial behavior from the staff enhances the overall dining experience.
3. Vegan Options: There is positive feedback about the ability to customize a vegan menu. While there may not be an extensive selection, the options available are described as excellent. Catering to dietary restrictions and providing suitable alternatives increases the appeal of the restaurant.
4. Reasonable Prices: Multiple comments appreciate the affordability of the restaurant, particularly when compared to other Italian places in the area. This makes Maggiano's Little Italy accessible to a broader range of customers.
5. Pleasant Atmosphere: The atmosphere is frequently described as nice, great, and warm. The restaurant's ambience contributes to a pleasant dining experience.
Weaknesses:
1. American-Italian Style: One comment suggests that the restaurant has an "Amerikan-Italien Style," implying that the authenticity of the Italian cuisine may be questionable. This is subjective and depends on personal taste and preference.
2. Separately Billing for Large Groups: The comment mentions that handling separate payments for a party of 10 was a disaster. This indicates a weakness in the restaurant's payment system or organization when it comes to groups.
3. Peccadilloes in Service: While there are mainly positive remarks about the service, one customer mentions that the server was a bit "peilt" when it came to drinks. Attention to detail in all aspects of service is crucial to maintaining consistent high-quality service.
4. Price: The restaurant is perceived as expensive by some customers, or at least not cheap. While this may not discourage all customers, it may affect those who are looking for more affordable dining options.
5. Limited Vegetarian Options: Although there are positive comments about vegetarian dishes, the overall sentiment is that the variety of vegetarian and vegan options could be improved. Expanding the selection would cater to a wider range of dietary preferences.
In conclusion, Maggiano's Little Italy has strengths in terms of generous portion sizes, excellent service, affordable prices, vegan options, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, there are weaknesses related to authenticity, separate billing for large groups, occasional service issues, perceived high prices, and limited vegetarian options. Overall, the restaurant seems to provide a positive dining experience for many customers, but there is room for improvement in certain areas.
