I come every sunday, i love the people and stands people have everything you could think of. Sunday is the busiest and has the most venders !
small when I went. but it was packed and youll find something to buy.. wether its food or a souvenier
Family and I love coming to this place, however after today's experience not sure if we ever want to come back. An elderly lady in her early 70s I have to say was extremely rude and disrespectful. 1st of all paying with a 5 dollar bill is ridiculous. They always give you loose change when they have a stack of one dollar bills in their hand. We kindly ask for no coins and they respond with we don't have dollar bills ????. Today we paid with coins and the old lady went crazy. She started yelling, harassing me and using bad words. She was demanding for dollar bills. Told her money is money. There is no sign whatsoever that loose change isn't accepted. She started to threatened me amd yelling at me that I will be kicked out and band. I called the number online to request to speak to a manager or owner and they said they couldn't disclose that information. I spoke with some of the vendors and they also get the same treatment when it comes to money. We have also noticed some usual vendors are no longer there ( I wonder why). Warning if you want to come make sure you have the exact change in dollar bills.
It's alright, felt kinda hectic. It's only 1$ a person on Sundays and Saturdays 50¢ a person. Once you get past the horrid smelling toilets there's actually quite a bit. Lots of very fresh produce stalls, clothing, tools, cookware, toys and household items. We found a knife stall in the corner that we thought was cool but realized they're selling not so legal knifes so skipped along. They have tons great foods and the smell of roasted peanuts just filled the air. They have aguas frescas, elotes, tamales, tortas, and pan dulce. Overall it was an ok experience. It's just small and can get crowded super quick. Compared to other swap meets it just seemed jam packed. Also unlike a couple others I've been to they sold livestock here. But with the heavy crowds they looked terrified with everyone wanting to grab at them and hold them. Just felt really hard to watch. Another thing to know is about parking, it's all just dirt lots and heavy drops with lots of trash. Be careful parking. I have a 4x4 so I was fine but a small bmw tried taking my spot after I left and ended up scraping his bumper on some rocks. Just be cautious there's more flat areas if you just drive more down. If your just looking to kill some time or be out of the house locally on the weekend I'd say it's alright but honestly I'd say there's bigger and better swap meets to go to.
Stay away from the red food truck "Tacos Lore" the ladies are rude they don't have price signage available. & give each person in line a different price for items , they tried scamming us out of $10 it shud have been $27 for our food items trusting her I said ok when she said $37 I showed on the calculator the correct math she looked annoyed & gave me MY 10$ BACK. Her daughter that cooked decided to be petty & serve our food last & every1 who ordered after us got served first, it was a quesabirra for $10!? Each taco was $3 I got 4 total & 1 glass bottle soda $3, & 1 can Arizona $2, he asada taste horrible cheap meat! If u must try this place have ur calculator out ready to show her u are keeping track of the price. **** The Pan Dulce Vendor was $6 a bag for six pieces of bread very good & fresh!!**
Not much verity. Worst was people having puppies in small cages. Right by signs that said no live animals for sale! Then the idiot with the ponies. 1 he had tied up to tree so tight it was hanging itself . It was so despicable!!! No authority around here you could do what ever you want. No atm no one takes cards all under the table profits to rip off the community. And get tax payers to support this. Urgh
I like going here to walk around and see things. They even had a barber shop in one of their stalls. I liked that.
We went with my friend Sarah and I bought 2 things a doll and a Lalaloopsy coloring book I always wanted other lalaloopsy doll Hello and Kitty stuffed toys.

Quick Facts About Winchester Swapmeet

The Winchester Swapmeet place has strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. In terms of strengths, one commenter mentioned that the swap meet has a wide variety of stands and vendors that offer everything one could think of. This suggests that there is a diverse range of products available, which can be appealing to attendees looking for a wide selection.
Another strength is the affordable admission fee. One commenter mentioned that on Sundays, it is only $1 per person, and on Saturdays, it is 50 cents per person. This low cost of entry makes it accessible to individuals who are looking for a budget-friendly activity. Additionally, the affordable admission fee may attract more people to the swap meet, increasing the overall energy and atmosphere.
The food options at the Winchester Swapmeet place were highlighted by several commenters as a strength. There was mention of fresh produce stalls, foods like aguas frescas, elotes, tamales, tortas, and pan dulce. The smell of roasted peanuts was also noted. Having a variety of tasty food options can enhance the overall experience for attendees and make the swap meet a more enjoyable outing.
On the other hand, there are some weaknesses associated with the Winchester Swapmeet place. One commenter expressed disappointment with the treatment they received from an elderly lady working at one of the stalls. The commenter described the lady as rude, disrespectful, and confrontational. Poor customer service can create a negative experience for attendees, potentially deterring them from returning in the future.
The comment about the lack of organization and cleanliness also presents a weakness. There were mentions of overcrowding and a hectic atmosphere due to the small size of the swap meet. Additionally, the presence of small cages with puppies for sale and mistreatment of animals by vendors raises concerns about ethical practices. This can leave attendees feeling uncomfortable and discouraged from supporting the swap meet.
Another weakness is the lack of transparency regarding management. One commenter mentioned that when they reached out to speak to a manager or owner about their negative experience, they were informed that the information could not be disclosed. This lack of accountability can be frustrating for attendees who wish to address issues or provide feedback.
In terms of parking, there are also weaknesses mentioned. The availability of only dirt lots and the presence of heavy drops and trash can make parking challenging and potentially damaging to vehicles. This could be a deterrent for attendees who are concerned about the safety and condition of their cars.
Overall, the Winchester Swapmeet place has strengths such as a wide variety of stands and vendors, affordable admission fees, and diverse food options. However, some weaknesses exist, including poor customer service, overcrowding, concerns about animal welfare, lack of management transparency, and parking challenges.
